Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney was born Amal Ramzi Alamuddin is a British-Lebanese Barrister and human rights activist, philanthropist and human rights advocate. An alumni of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her lengthy and successful career in the fields of human rights and international law has won her international recognition. The most prominent clients she worked with were national states such as Armenia who were fighting for recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney got married to American actor George Clooney and became a famous name in popular culture in the year 2014. Prior to this, she was established herself as a household name by the legal profession in her ability to defend clients. Her work ranges from social justice issues and human rights issues to representing corporations in discussions or in court proceedings regarding government regulations. Since 2015, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London and she is a barrister.
